Flooding continues to affect 12 provinces across Thailand as of Friday, September 6. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) reported floods in the northern provinces of Phichit, Phitsanulok, and Sukhothai provinces, as well as in the northeastern provinces of Amnat Charoen, Khon Kaen, Roi Et, Sakon Nakhon, Si Sa Ket, Ubon Ratchathani, Yasothon, and Nakhon Phanom, and in the central Nakhon Sawan province. The DDPM further declared that about 3400 people were evacuated in Amnat Charoan, Ubon Ratchathani, and Yasothon northeastern provinces.

According to the Thai Meteorological Department, (TMD) heavy rain is forecast to continue in the northeast, north, and along the southern Adaman coast on Friday, and is forecast to ease between Saturday, September 7, and Wednesday, September 11. The TMD advised residents in lowland areas to prepare for floods and water runoff caused by accumulative rainfalls.

Tropical cyclones and typhoons are common in the western Pacific and the South China Sea from June through November.

Individuals in areas forecast to be affected by the storm are advised to monitor local weather reports, adhere to instructions issued by local authorities, anticipate adverse weather and power and transportation disruptions, and remember that running water can be dangerous - 15 cm (6 in) is enough to knock over an adult - and never drive through flooded streets; floodwater may also contain wastewater and chemical products.
