The main runway at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) will be partially closed for repairs between the hours of 09:00 and 17:30 (local time) from Thursday, November 7, to Saturday, March 28. The runway will reportedly remain open on Sundays and on heavy travel days, such as December 25, January 1 and 15, February 19 and 21, and March 10 and 25. The airport is expected to operate at a significantly diminished capacity during closure times. Flight disruptions, including delays and cancelations, are expected.
Travelers flying through BOM are advised to confirm the status of their flights prior to departure for the airport and to contact their airlines for more information.
