Post-tropical storm Olga has produced power outages for an estimated 44,100 customers across Louisiana state as of the early morning hours (local tile) on Saturday, October 26. Most of the outages are concentrated to Jefferson Parish, with an estimated 19,000 affected homes.
Olga (map here) has weakened over the last several days and currently has wind gusts of 95 kph (59 mph). A flash flood warning is in effect for southeastern Louisiana until 07:00 (local time) on Saturday. Rainfall of 7-15 cm (3-6 in) has been recorded over the last 24 hours in the area. Rain is not forecast for the affected areas past Saturday.
Individuals in southern Louisiana are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid all protests and demonstrations as a precaution, adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities, and keep battery-operated devices fully charged whenever possible.
