A strike by maintenance workers at SNCF is expected to cause significant rail disruptions on Wednesday, October 30. Approximately one third of TGV Atlantique operations servicing Paris, Bretagne, Pays de la Loire, and the southwest - including Toulouse, Nantes, Bordeaux, and Rennes - are due to operate on Wednesday. Additionally, there will be no TGV service to Le Croisic or Les Sables-d'Olonne. However, representatives of SNCF have said that approximately 80 percent of TGV operations are expected to resume on Thursday, October 31, ahead of the Toussaint public holiday on Friday, November 1. The maintenance workers have not said when they plan to stop striking. SNCF officials have advised travelers to confirm their itineraries on the SNCF website.
Rail disruptions, including train delays and cancelations, are expected over the coming hours and days.
