Three protests are set to take place in Athens on Thursday, October 31.
A student demonstration is scheduled at 12:00 (local time) to denounce the abolition of a law preventing security forces from entering university buildings. Students are expected to gather at the Propylaea and then march to the Parliament.
Another protest from the All-Workers Militant Front (PAME) is scheduled at 13:00 outside Parliament building to denounce planned changes to a law granting asylum to migrants. Finally, anti-racist organisations are expected to protest around Parliament over the same issue, at 18:00.
A heightened security presence and localized transport disruptions are likely near the protest sites.
Individuals in Athens are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid all protests and demonstrations as a precaution, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities.
