All flights to and from Barisal Airport (BZL), Chittagong's Shah Amanat International Airport (CGP), Cox's Bazar Airport (CXB), and Jashore Airport (JSR), have reportedly been canceled from 16:00 (local time) on Saturday, November 9, until 06:00 on Sunday, November 10, due to Cyclone Bulbul. As of around 00:01 on Sunday, the center of Bulbul was located near 21.6°N, 88.9°E, with the storm packing maximum sustained winds of around 150 kph (90 mph) and moving northeastward at 15 kph (9 mph).
Consequent flooding, landslides, and power outages are possible in affected areas over the coming days, as well as associated disruptions to business and transportation, including further flight delays and cancelations.
Individuals in the affected areas are advised to monitor local weather reports, confirm flight reservations, adhere to instructions issued by local authorities, anticipate adverse weather and power and transportation disruptions, and remember that running water can be dangerous - 15 cm (6 in) is enough to knock over an adult - and never drive through flooded streets; floodwater may also contain wastewater and chemical products.
