Security measures have been increased at all 19 airports operated by the state-owned airport services company Angkasa Pura II, located mostly in the western part of the country. The measures include deployment of additional security forces and random vehicle checks in the vicinity of the airports.
No flight disruptions were reported. A heightened security presence, along with an increased wait time at checkpoints, are anticipated at airports nationwide in the coming weeks.
