Community leaders are planning a 'March for Peace' in San Juan on Tuesday, November 19. Participants plan to gather at the Luis Muñoz Rivera park, and then head to the steps of the northern area of El Capitolio. Organizers did not immediately announce a starting time, but in previous years marches have begun at 11:00 (local time). At least 10,000 people are expected to attend the event, according to local media outlets.
A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions, including road closures, are expected along the march route.
Individuals in Puerto Rico are advised to monitor the situation, avoid all public gatherings as a precaution, budget additional time for travel, anticipate transportation and business disruptions and a heightened security presence, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
