Police authorities imposed a curfew in Port Sudan on Monday, November 18, at 17:00 (local time) following tribal clashes between the Beni Amer and Hadendowa tribes earlier in the day in the area, in which at least three people died and 24 others were wounded. A heightened security presence is to be expected in Port Sudan over the near term. Associated transportation and business disruptions cannot be ruled out.
