The FNSEA Farmers of the Greater Paris Basin are set to protest on Wednesday, November 27, in the city of Paris. Farmers seek to protest free trade treaties and regulatory measures, among other grievances. An estimated 1000 tractors are to be expected at the protest, which will begin at 06:00 (local time) at the gates of Paris on highways A1, A4, A5, A6, A10, A11, A13, A14, and A15, as well as on the National highways N1, N2, N12, and N20. Related protests may take place in other parts of France.
Associated transportation disruptions and a heightened security presence are to be expected in the aforementioned areas. Roadblocks cannot be ruled out in the early morning hours on Wednesday.
Individuals in the Paris region and across France are advised to monitor the situation, avoid all protests and public gatherings, anticipate transportation disruptions, and adhere to instructions issued by local authorities.
