Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is planning to visit Islamabad between Thursday, February 13, through Friday, February 14. President Erdoğan is expected to arrive at 16:00 (local time) at Nur Khan Airbase in Chaklala in Rawalpindi (Punjab province), and participate in the joint session of Parliament in Islamabad on Friday. At least 2000 police will reportedly deploy to the capital during his visit. Security officials are also expected to implement road diversions in Islamabad, according to local media outlets.

An increased security presence and localized traffic disruptions are expected around parliament and some hotels, as well as in the capital more generally. 


Individuals in Islamabad and Rawalpindi are advised to monitor the situation, anticipate a heightened security presence, remain vigilant, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
