On Friday, May 22, the FBI announced that it has determined that the active shooter incident at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi on Thursday, May 21, to be terrorism-related. During the incident, the gunman was shot dead and the FBI has issued a statement that a second person of interest may be at large. No further details have been released about the attack, only that investigators remain at the scene and are searching the suspect's vehicle. The security guard that was shot suffered minor injuries and has since been released from the hospital.
