Clashes between local tribal forces and Houthi rebels have reportedly occurred in Al Bayda province on Wednesday, June 17, and Thursday, June 18, which have resulted in multiple casualties. According to media sources, Houthi rebels launched drone and missile attacks on the Radman district in the province on Wednesday. Reports suggest that the rebels deployed ground forces following the aerial assault, in efforts to suppress the local Al Awad tribal forces. On Thursday, fighting continued as the tribesmen pushed back the Houthi's advance toward Radman. Several Houthi vehicles were reportedly destroyed in Thursday's clashes.
Further fighting between the two forces is possible in the area over the near term.
