On Wednesday, August 26, a 39-year-old rabbi was stabbed to death in an attack at the Segulah Junction in Petah Tikva (Central District). A Palestinian suspect from a town near Nablus (occupied West Bank) has been arrested, with the motives behind the attack being investigated by security forces. The man was a 46-year-old working as a construction worker in Israel with a legal work permit.

A heightened security presence is to be expected in the vicinity of the incident as security forces carry out their investigations.
