A 24-hour nationwide strike has been planned by airport staff affiliated with the Confederazione Unitaria di Base Transport (CUB) union to begin at 00:01 (local time) on Friday, September 25. The strike action is taking place to demand better working conditions and denounce proposed redundancies in the aviation sector. Associated flight delays and cancellations to domestic and international routes during the strike action are possible. Associated demonstrations are also possible at airports across the country.

Potentially impacted travelers are advised to monitor developments to the situation, confirm the status of their flights prior to departure, and to contact their airline for additional information. Avoid all associated protests as a precaution.
