The demonstrations have been called for by anti-fascist groups and are being held to protest against the far-right Golden Dawn party. In Athens, participants of the demonstration are set to gather at approximately 09:00 (local time) at the Court of Appeals, where several members of the Golden Dawn party are expected to stand trial for charges of forming a criminal organization. In Thessaloniki, demonstrators are scheduled to gather at 09:30 on Archaias Agoras Square.
