Police have clashed with protesters who had gathered in Rome on Tuesday, October 27, to denounce recently introduced coronavirus disease (COVID-19) restrictions. Demonstrators gathered in the vicinity of Piazza del Popolo where they threw firecrackers and smoke bombs at police who charged the protesters to disperse them. Clashes were also reported on Piazza Della Libertà, Piazzale Flaminio, and Ponte Regina Margherita.
