According to a statement released by the Angolan Air Transport (TAAG) board, the strike by the TAAG pilots’ union originally planned for June 15 to 25 was called off on Thursday, June 15. The pilots decided not to strike after reaching an agreement with TAAG management.
The strike was organized following months of unsuccessful attempts to reach a consensus between pilots and airline management. The most recent round of talks began in March concerning issues such as salaries, health insurance, flight licenses, and workplace accidents.
Individuals are advised to anticipate normal flight operations and to contact TAAG directly for additional information.
