Pilots at the airline LIAT launched an indefinite strike on Wednesday, June 7. The strike, which is resulting in flight delays and cancelations, continues as of June 9. Negotiations are underway.
LIAT - Leeward Islands Air Transport - is based out of Antigua and Barbuda and serves many Caribbean airports, including in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Barbados, Dominica, Guyana, Grenada, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Trinidad and Tobago.
