France: Possible Air France employee strike July 29-August 6

Force Ouvrière Union calls upon Air France employees to strike July 29 to August 6; longer waiting times possible at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)
Event
Force Ouvrière, the third largest union in France, has called upon Air France employees to stage a strike starting Saturday, July 29, until Sunday, August 6, to denounce the increasing number of assaults by disgruntled travelers against personnel. A mix of factors including chronic understaffing, heightened security measures, and peak tourist season have resulted in excessively long wait times, prompting anger and frustration.
Air France has assured that this strike will have no impact on its activities. Nevertheless, delays and longer waiting times may occur at Paris-Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG).
Advice
Travelers are advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours prior to the departure of their flight, as well as to contact their airline for further information.
