Flight delays and cancelations due to heavy fog are being reported as of Monday morning, January 15, at airports throughout the UAE, including Abu Dhabi (AUH), Dubai (DXB), and Sharjah (SHJ) international airports. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), along with the police, have issued warnings for drivers due to reduced visibility on major roads, with visibility at less than 100 m (330 ft) in some areas. Accidents have been reported in Dubai on Mohammed bin Zayed Road, Emirates Road, and Shaikh Zayed Road.


Fog is common in the UAE and often results in transportation disruptions.


Individuals in the UAE are advised to monitor local weather reports, confirm the status of their flights prior to departure for the airport, allow for extra travel time in affected areas, and exercise caution when driving.
