Garda President and CEO Stephan Cretier Receives Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal

Garda Founder, President and CEO, Stephan Cretier was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his charitable work on behalf of the Vimy Foundation at a ceremony on December 10 at the Macdonald Stewart Foundation in Montreal.  He is President of Honor for the organization’s 2012 and 2013 annual fundraising benefit events.

Mr. Cretier was one of eleven recipients at the ceremony who provided early and critical assistance to the Vimy Foundation, an organization that promotes Canada’s First World War legacy as symbolized by the heroic victory of Canadian forces at Vimy Ridge on April 1917.

 

The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, which commemorates the 60th Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to the Throne as Queen of Canada, is awarded in recognition of the significant achievements and contributions of Canadians.

 

During the year-long celebration of the Queen’s Jubilee, 60,000 Canadians will be honored with the Medal.
