First Aid Training Ontario

Any one can be a first aider. In a medical emergency, simple actions can have influence. make a significant difference! This First Aid Program aligns with the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) curriculum and quality management through our WSIB Ontario approved training partners. Participants can select from Basic First Aid, Intermediate First Aid, or Basic Life Support (BLS), to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence to take action and provide effective emergency care.

Please note that these courses are only offered in English.

Basic (Emergency) First Aid with CPR and AED Level A or C – fundamental one-day classroom training session for learners to recognize common injuries and illnesses, activate emergency medical services, and provide essential first aid care. 

Intermediate (Standard) First Aid with CPR and AED Level C – comprehensive two-day classroom training program that builds on Basic First Aid competencies and teaches how to assess and manage a broader range of injuries and medical emergencies while developing more advanced first aid skills. 

Please note that a passing grade of 80% is required for successful completion in Basic or Intermediate first aid.

Basic Life Support (BLS)– stand-alone 4-hour training or add-on option to Intermediate First Aid Level C for the healthcare professional (HCP) or trained first responder learning the fundamental skills of high-quality first aid needed to achieve the best possible patient outcomes in medical emergencies. Passing grade of 84% is required for successful completion.
