Jeff Spoerndle brings over 30 years of proven leadership in the crowd management and event security industry. He launched the event services operation of BEST Crowd Management in 2009, building it from the ground up — starting with a single stadium in Minneapolis — and expanding it into a national powerhouse serving over 145 stadiums, arenas, and convention centers across the United States. Under Spoerndle's leadership, BEST Crowd Management has grown into one of the largest providers of crowd management and event security in the country, with 31 branch offices and a team of more than 25,000 event-specific employees. His growth-focused, strategic vision has helped shape a service model that is unmatched in the industry. As Chief Operating Officer, Spoerndle is responsible for overseeing all aspects of BEST’s operations. He sets the culture, vision, and direction for the organization, ensuring that innovation and adaptability remain central as the industry evolves. Throughout his career, Spoerndle has led crowd management and security operations for many of the nation’s most high-profile events, including the Super Bowl, NFC and AFC Championship Games, NFL Draft, World Series, ALCS and NLCS, NCAA Final Four, Republican and Democratic National Conventions, NBA All-Star Weekend, and the U.S. Open Golf Championship. He has deep expertise in designing security and guest services programs for a wide range of venues, including stadiums, arenas, convention centers, and theaters. Spoerndle has contributed to the NFL Security Best Practices Program for more than 23 years and is an active member of the Stadium Managers Association (SMA), the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4), and the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM).
