Education
Transforming Learning Spaces for Future Generations, Kenya

Education is one of the most powerful drivers of opportunity, confidence, and long-term community resilience. At GardaWorld Security Africa, we are proud to support initiatives that strengthen learning environments and help young people access the tools they need to thrive.
In Kenya, GardaWorld Security Africa partnered with Sisters of Mercy - Mukuru Promotion Centre (MPC) to support St. Bakhita Primary School through the refurbishment of its Early Childhood Development block and the repainting and equipping of its science laboratory.
MPC is a faith-based, non-profit charitable organisation working with communities in the Mukuru informal settlements to improve access to education, healthcare, rehabilitation, and essential social services. Through this partnership, GardaWorld Security Africa contributed to strengthening educational infrastructure in a community where access to learning resources remains limited.
Creating Brighter Early Learning Spaces
The initiative included repainting the school’s Early Childhood Development block, which comprises four classrooms serving learners aged four to six. The refreshed classrooms now provide a brighter, safer, and more engaging environment for young learners at a critical stage of their development.
By improving these early learning spaces, the project helps create a more welcoming setting where children can focus, participate, and build the foundations for future academic growth.
Supporting Practical Science Education
In addition to the ECD block refurbishment, the GardaWorld Security Africa Kenya team supported the repainting and equipping of the school’s science laboratory. The laboratory was fitted with essential science apparatus to enable hands-on, practical learning in line with Kenya’s Competency-Based Curriculum.
This upgrade directly benefits more than 457 learners, giving them improved access to facilities that support experimentation, understanding, and performance in science subjects.
Strengthening Community Impact Through Education
St. Bakhita Primary School serves families within an economically constrained community, where access to quality facilities and educational resources can be limited. By investing in both early learning spaces and practical science education, this initiative supports a more inclusive and enabling environment for learners.
The official handover was led by Rishi Ahluwalia, Country Director - Kenya, accompanied by members of the Kenya CSR Committee. The project reflects GardaWorld Security Africa’s ongoing commitment to responsible citizenship, sustainable community impact, and education as a catalyst for long-term growth.
