Course Content and Duration
Our 33.5-hours training, provides students with the occupational and behavioral skills and attitude necessary to deal with their many occupational responsibilities.
Upon completion of this Security Guard Training Atlantic course, the student will understand:
- Basic security procedures
- Report writing
- The Occupational Health and Safety Act
- The Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS)
- Emergency Response Preparation
- The Canadian legal system
- A Security Guard’s legal authority
- Use of Force theory
- Effective communications
Requirements
- Have access to a computer with an Internet connection
- Be 18 years or older at the time of registration
- Have no criminal record
- Ability to read and write in English
