Upholding exceptional governance and compliance standards

As one of the world’s leading security and cash services providers, we strive to reach the highest standards of honest and ethical behavior. GardaWorld has robust internal processes and procedures for complying with all security-related legislation, including the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Canada’s Corruption of Foreign Public Officials Act and the UK Bribery Act.

Our employees follow five guiding principles, designed to encourage honest and ethical behavior: upholding the law, confidentiality, integrity, fairness, and loyalty.

Slavery and human trafficking statement

This statement is made in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the “Act”) for the financial year ending 31 January 2017. It sets out the steps that we have taken to identify and reduce the risk of modern slavery occurring within our business operations and/or our supply chain and demonstrates Garda World Security Corporation’s (‘GardaWorld’) commitment to continually improve its practices to combat slavery and human trafficking.

Compliance, governance and licensing

We are committed to providing a quality security service, in a safe and healthy working environment. GardaWorld operates in a responsible manner that enhances human safety and security while conforming to international law, local laws and respecting human rights. We conduct our business and security operations by managing risks to all of our stakeholders including; our clients, persons working for us and on our behalf, affected communities and our supply chain.

International standards and certifications

Our international division, has played a central role in the development of standards within the security industry.

As a founding signatory of the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers (ICoC), the international division is a member of the International Stability Operations Association (ISOA) and the International Security Management Association (ISMA), and adhere to the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPSHR).

Across our whole business we continue to drive forward and influence the adoption of the highest principles of best practice across the industry. Working within a comprehensive legal operating framework, we comply with all host country regulations in all of the markets and are full signatories to the International Code of Conduct (ICoC) for Private Security Service.
